Why we chose it
On September 29th, 2023 on a cold, wet & windy day we got engaged - just below the summit of the famous fell 'Old man of Coniston' in the Lake District.
Over the past few years and dozens of trips, our passion for the Lake District has grown stronger and stronger and having our wedding in the Lake District was an obvious choice for us to make.
We fell in love with the Inn on The Lake when we first visited it, we think it is the perfect setting for a Lakeland wedding.
To those of you who have never been to the Lake District we hope that our wedding day gives you the opportunity to discover something that you love about the Lake District for yourselves.
The venue
The award winning 4 star hotel in Glenridding enjoys one of the most spectacular settings in the Lake District, in 15 acres of grounds with lawns sweeping to the shores of Lake Ullswater.
The Inn on the Lake has 44 en-suite rooms with most having breath taking views of Lake Ullswater or looking towards the magnificent Helvellyn mountain range.
